NYC Pride 2019
Flowers come in many forms. Bisexual. Gender fluid. Questioning. Nature nurtures this diversity. And so does Herbal Essences. This year, Herbal Essences marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots by building a Garden Wall where PRIDE blooms, right next to Stonewall Inn. In partnership with Putnam & Putnam flowers, we created a blooming garden wall where each flower would be placed on the rainbow wall to honor members of the LGBTQIA over the course of Pride Weekend. Passerby’s had the opportunity to add a flower to the wall to honor a friend, or digitally tagging them on social media using #FlourishWithPride.
After three days, the wall was in full bloom thanks to contributions of the LGBTQIA community and their supporters. I helped create mock-ups for client decks, designed and packaged signage for vendors, created social media assets and photographed images on site.
The ask was to create engaging flatlays with Herbal Essences collections based on everyday items and accessories on social. I was tasked with everything from ideation, art direction, photography and prop styling of each piece.
